The Deal Mission of the Ordinariate is part of the Catholic Church in England.   As a local Mission of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, we are part of that great network of communities that make up the Catholic Church throughout the world, all in communion with the Successor of Peter in Rome.

Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham erected on 15th January 2011 to conserve within the Catholic Church those aspects of Anglican tradition consonant with the Catholic faith;  this is the website of the Ordinariate in the UK.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales is the permanent assembly of Catholic Bishops and Personal Ordinaries in the two member countries.

The Vatican The Holy See is the home of the Bishop of Rome  –  Pope Francis  –  who as the Successor of Peter is the Bishop with whom all Catholic Bishops and people are in communion;  to be a Catholic is to be in full communion with the Bishop of Rome

The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter Our sister Ordinariate in North America was erected on 1st January, 2012.

The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross Our sister Ordinariate in Australia was erected on 15th June 2012.11

The Catholic Parish of St John the Evangelist Mongeham and St Andrew Sandwich The Deal Mission of the Ordinariate has its home at St John the Evangelist in Mongeham, Deal.

Archdiocese of Southwark The Parish of Mongeham and Sandwich is part of the Archdiocese, which  comprises all the London Boroughs south of the River Thames and all of Kent

Abbaye de Notre Dame, Wisque An enclosed community of Benedictine nuns;  the Deal Mission has been visiting the Abbey in August every year for many years and have a strong spiritual friendship with them
